Appropriate Technology: Multilevel Cross Flow Water Turbine
This turbine is the result of a study entitled “Multilevel Cross Flow Turbine Model” utilizes the residual energy from the small scale exhaust (Drain Energy) Pikohidro.
This research was conducted in 2020 with a research team; Drs. Purwantono, M.Pd, Drs. Abdul Aziz, M.Pd, and Drs. Jasman, M.Kes. Mechanical Engineering students involved; Rikko Wahyudi, Leon, and Gunawan.
Turbine Design:
The multilevel turbine design drawing as shown in the picture has the following dimensions:

Total height: 1500 mm
Construction using 50 x 50 mm angle iron
Multilevel transmission using pully and shaft intermediaries.
Turbine pully ratio: 300 mm
Intermediate pully 1: 75 mm
Intermediate pully 2: 150 mm
Pully generator: 75 mm
Electric generator capacity: 1000 watts
Generator rotation: 1500 rpm
Electricity Voltage: 220 volts
