Emergency Energy Suitcase with Arduino Based Solar Tracker
Indonesia is an archipelago consisting of large and small islands. Indonesia is located between two continents and two oceans. This makes Indonesia located between the Australian plate, the Eurasian plate and the pacific plate. In addition, Indonesia is also included in the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is none other than the cluster of volcanoes in the world. This then becomes the reason why in Indonesia there are so many earthquakes, both volcanic and tectonic. One of the causes of the earthquake is the movement of the earth’s plates. Because the location of Indonesia is in three earth plates. If one of these three moves and rubs against other plates, the possibility of an earthquake occurring is very large and makes Indonesia prone to disasters.
During a disaster the power supply is often cut off and slows down post-disaster recovery. To solve this problem, the team developed an innovation in the form of a solar powered power plant using Arduino-based solar tracker technology. The PKM-KC team of students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, FT-UNP, tries to exploit an idea in the form of scientific work. The PKM-KC team, chaired by Nofri Pratama Putra NIM 17067119 with members of Ade Foury Putra NIM 17067035 and Annisa Ulhusna NIM 18135228 with supervisor Hendri Nurdin, MT. This exploited tool is named “Emergency Energy Suitcase with Arduino-Based Solar Tracker”. By using Arduino-based Solar Tracker technology, the electric motor is controlled by Arduino to move the solar panels so that they are efficient in capturing sunlight. So that the energy obtained is better and more. Through the PKM-Karsa Cipta program, it is hoped that it will be able to present a tool that is safe, comfortable, practical and without additional costs in its use, as well as helping disaster-affected areas in the post-disaster recovery process.
